Red River R/C Flyers was founded to promote the sport of flying radio controlled (R/C) models in the Red River Valley of Minnesota and North Dakota. The Club is a chartered member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), the national organization that promotes the sport of model aviation.
Red River R/C Flyers come from the Red River Valley, including the University Of North Dakota school of Aerospace Science. We share experiences and enjoy discussions about building and flying R/C Model airplanes, helicopters and multi-rotor drones. Members work to provide education and training to members and the community about the art and science of RC aeromodelling
Safely flying radio controlled models requires a great deal of skill and coordination. While many “do it yourself” models on the market today we highly recommend assistance from an experienced modeler to ensure a successful and enjoyable beginning to a life-long hobby.
We provide education and training in the art, science and practice of RC aeromodelling. Help is available with selection, designing, building and learning to fly radio controlled models as well as acquiring new flight skills.
Flight instruction is offered at no charge to members. Instruction is available (weather permitting) from our volunteer instructors. We provide safety training and keep members updated on FAA rules and regulations.
